Small World

December 16, 2011
File this under “small world”: Several weeks ago, a donor told me that he and his wife had received two copies of my recent fundraising mailing, which had been sent to donors to all previous campaigns. One was addressed to them, and one was addressed to the previous occupants. That house must have good karma, because both couples have contributed to this campaign twice! Please click here to join them in helping to keep our campaign strong.

Then, at a recent fundraiser, I was telling doorbelling stories and related one about how in the course of knocking on about 15,000 doors in 2002, I was bitten by a dog. I ended up in the Evergreen Hospital ER and had the bite cleaned by a doctor with long blond hair. At that point in the retelling, one of the people I was talking to turned to the other and said – you’re an Evergreen ER doc with long blond hair! In fact, one of the guests at the event was the doctor who treated me 9 years ago.

The Holiday Season: Last weekend I had a wonderful time at the holiday parties of the 45th District Democrats, the 32nd Legislative District Democrats, and the Metropolitan Democratic Club. And if you haven’t been to the Unsung Heroines of the Campaign event put on by the Women’s Political Caucus of Washington, watch for the invitation in 2012. It’s an inspiring event.Events!

I want to thank everyone who has put on an event for me in 2011:
